My New Kindle

I’ve recently added a Kindle to my gadget list.  After resisting for some time I finally got tired of trying to fit another book into my already overstuffed briefcase.

In playing around with the Kindle the first thing I noticed was the lack of a touch screen.  Having been an iPhone user for over two years I never realized how much I’ve come to enjoy a touch screen, particularly on something so small.  It is so intuitive and easy.

Nevertheless, I’m enjoying my Kindle now and accepting it for what it is (I would also like the option of a back lit screen).  I like the accessibility of having it along and downloading material whenever I come across a review that interests me.

Downloading material is so fast and easy over the 3G network.  If only ATT and my iPhone had the same speed.

Sounds good. I made a big mistake getting some audio books. It took about 6 hours to get through “Rich, Poor Dad” and my wife got really annoyed at the time I spent. My normal time to read a book is about two hours.
